The road chose Dan Grec

As Steve and I were starting down the WP&YR tracks after taking the Bare Loon Lake cutoff trail from the Chilkoot Trail on Tuesday, we met an Aussie fellow on a Great Adventure. Dan Grec is a few weeks into a 50,000-km drive from the Arctic Ocean at Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, to Terra Del Fuego, the southern-most point of South America, in a Jeep he bought in Calgary.

I know that many of you will enjoy both the writing and the photography on his blog, “The road chose me“. That’s the hood of his Jeep in the photo below, taken as we began to head in different directions from the parking lot at Dyea.
