Selling Water or…?

Bottled water is a tough market to break into, with the big box stores selling it for what appears to be about the cost of the bottle. Barry Enders in Whitehorse has just begun serious marketing of his bottled water at several times the cost of the big-box water – in a bottle intended to be a Yukon souvenir. It has an image of the famous sternwheeler S. S. Klondike formed in the plastic, nicely detailed.

The real Klondike sits on the bank of the Yukon River a few blocks from Whitehorse’s busy Main Street (and from Barry’s home), restored by Parks Canada to its 1937 appearance.

I expect that there will be lots of people now saying to themselves “DOH – why didn’t I think of that?”. Good luck with this, Barry!
