Let it snow, let it freeze!
Winter can come now – I have 2 years’ worth of firewood in the yard, one year stacked and dry, and both cars are in the slightly-heated garage. The power outages that are becoming a regular occurrence are a minor nuisance, but the house will stay warm and we can cook on the propane barbecue or the top of the wood furnace if necessary – so whatever happens, we can just hunker down and watch Winter. The only glitch in that picture is Cathy’s job in town, but she can miss a bunch of days if necessary.

There are 2 vehicles outside in the photo below – the Outback was out for washing (it hit 0°C yesterday so it did get done and it’s back in the garage), and the firewood/snowplow truck will have a portable garage when I go down and get it from my brother-in-law in April. Cathy’s Tracker gets the other garage spot.

There we go – tight and cozy 🙂

Although we’re all set for the cold ahead, I do still keep an eye on places like Sandals Resorts and CheapCaribbean.com – because you just never know what’s ahead!
