Grizzly raid!

We’re at the cabin for 2 weeks, but spent Tuesday night in the city. That night, a grizzly raided the place – bit through and crushed a garbage can, tore my main bird feeder off the wall beside the kitchen window, then went next door and damaged a storage shed and injured his dog quite badly. We carry bear spray on outhouse trips now. Another visit like that and Mr Grizz won’t have long to live. I have a high-powered rifle, but it’d have to be an extreme situation for me to kill him – some of my neighbours will need much less provocation 🙁

The grizzly in the photo below was not the bear that did this, it’s another Yukon bear we saw.
