A late-summer hike to Bryant Lake at Fraser
Posted On August 30 , 2026
Due to serious problems with this site that I don’t yet have a solution to (including not being able to post photos), I am posting blog posts at my main ExploreNorth site for now.
On Thursday, August 28th, with good weather forecasts for both Whitehorse and Skagway, I drove to the White Pass to hike up to Bryant Lake. I had made this drive two weeks before, but the weather at Fraser was awful, with the trail route hidden in cold clouds. I first discovered Bryant Lake in 2013, and there are four blog posts about hikes there, including a late-winter one. The day started very well with a grizzly and her twins feeding beside the highway.
