Winter’s here to stay

The roads were in fairly good shape yesterday so I thought that I might get one more ride on the motorcycle before putting it into storage for the winter. The photo below was shot a few minutes ago – it turned out to be not as bike-friendly a day as I’d hoped for!

I’m not going to give up on the bike quite yet, though – the weather forecast shows some potential for non-icy roads yet 🙂

So, with the snow falling, I can more easily concentrate on the final day of tiling the floor. The tiles are all laid, and today will be a long day of grout-line cleaning and then grouting. The first bucket of grout gets mixed right after a late breakfast that’s about to be served.
