The new mystery store in Whitehorse

Those of you who drive up 2nd Avenue in Whitehorse may have been wondering what’s going on behind Erik’s Audiotronic. Well, this is going to be the home of a new company in town – one in a field that may surprise many of you. Although tourism in general is in dire straits these days, prices are dropping and making travel more affordable, so well-known local entrepreneurs Erik and Kim Hougen are opening a branch of Expedia Cruise Ship Centers – and I’m working with them as a Cruise Consultant.

The official opening of the store is May 30th (with Amanda McCarthy as manager), but on the Web we are effectively in business now. When the store opens, as well as booking cruises and other travel including air and hotels around the world, it will be stocked with many of the things you need to travel, from alarm clocks and neck pillows to luggage and GPS units.

With cruise prices at their lowest level in more than a decade, this may be the time for you to try a new experience, or to visit a new corner of the globe. We’ll have a booth at the Trade Fair on May 2-4, and I invite you to pop by for a chat – if you think as I used to that you’re “just not cruise people”, I may have some surprises for you.

On my home page [now gone] you’ll find a link to the 7SEAS Club Dream Vacation Sweepstakes – enter for a chance to win a FREE Caribbean cruise and airfare for two!
