Spring breakup – finally!

The last of the ice is finally blowing off Lake Bennett – it should finish today by the look of it. If you’ve never seen a breakup (of the ice, I mean!), it’s an experience you should seek out. The sights and sounds of the candle ice in motion are wonderful – and for some of us, the sight of blue water is soooooo fine! 🙂

I’ll be getting on the train from Carcross to Skagway in a couple of hours, so will have lots of pictures to post tomorrow!
