Music videos from our European trip – violins & organs

I don’t shoot much video, but did shoot a half-dozen during the trip, of things that still photos don’t do justice to. Here are the 3 musical ones:

First, a machine that actuals plays several violins, from the collection at Siegfried’s Mechanisches Musikkabinett (Siegfried’s Mechanical Musical Instrument Museum) at Rüdesheim am Rhein.

Next, Uniworld arranged for a private organ concert for us at Saint Martinís Church in Ediger.

And finally, the nave organ in the Cologne Cathedral. I’d been shooting vertical so long that I forgot that video doesn’t really work that way, but… 🙂 In person, that organ makes the earth move – astonishing sound!

The Cologne organ deserves to be heard in a better video – though it’s dark, this 8-minute one is the best audio I’ve found.
