Major Northern Lights shows coming!

It’s been a very poor year for aurora viewing, so I want to give you a heads-up that major shows are forecast to occur on February 29 and March 8. We won’t be here, but maybe we’ll get to see the aurora australis.

The image below is one I shot at Carcross on December 15, 2006. It was shot with a tripod-mounted Canon Digital Rebel XT with an 18mm lens, set to ISO 400 and exposed for 25 seconds at f5.6.
