Luxury on the cheap

I get a fair number of travel company newsletters – it’s a combination of keeping in touch with what’s going on in the industry worldwide, and seeing what deals are available. This morning the great deals are on cruises, particularly Caribbean and Alaska cruises. Two examples – you can now get 4 nights on the Carnival Fascination in the western Caribbean for $199(!) or 7 nights on the Diamond Princess to Alaska for $534.

Although our next trip is with an RV, we love cruising – the photo below is from our Caribbean cruise on the Costa Mediterranea in 2006 (that memory takes the chill off my brain this morning!). If you think as we did that cruising isn’t your style, you might be in for a surprise 🙂
