Lots of frost, not much sun

Despite weather forecasts that called for sun in both Whitehorse and Skagway today, it turned out to be high fog for most of the day.

Dropping down to Tutshi Lake, the scene was stunning, though – a gunmetal-gray lake below and thick fog of the same colour parting just enough to show the sunlit mountains in the White Pass.

My regular Tutshi Lake stop to run the dogs was perfect. Debra-Lee is thrilled with her first visit to the Yukon – a spur-of-the-moment decision made in Calgary a few days ago. In 2 weeks she heads home to 30+°C temperatures in Cairns, Australia – won’t that be a shock to the system!
