House renovations: fun with tile

Now that the sunshine and heat is gone I’m back to house renovations in between the projects that provide cash.

Today the dining room serving bar is getting its tile top. In the first photo you can see the bar (which was a coat closet until I fired up the chainsaw one day 🙂 ). And the second shows the project as it looks now.

The design is complex enough that I need to lay it and let it dry in sections to avoid any shifting. For some reason I really enjoy creative projects like this – it certainly didn’t need to be this complicated!
