First pussy willows – Spring has arrived!

While out on our walk around the property yesterday, I spotted the first pussy willows of the year. It seems very early, but I’m certainly not complaining! This has been the easiest winter I’ve ever seen in the Yukon 🙂

This trail runs along our back property line.

Through the corral…

And they they are, at the warm end of the corral! After our walk, mostly as a reason to stay outside, I took the snowblower out to the corral and cut a trail down to bare ground – the sun has enough warmth in it that there was substantially more grass showing today than there was yesterday. There’s a bit of snow in the weather forecast for tomorrow and Wednesday but it sure looks good after that.
