Scaling back – “Everything Husky!” is history

While improving ExploreNorth and The ExploreNorth Blog is an ongoing process, other parts of my network die. I opened “Everything Husky!” in 1999, but as of a few minutes ago it is effectively closed, with most pages except about 35 pages of evergreen content deleted.

Linking to other sites with quality content was a major part of the site. Over the past few years hundreds of those links have gone dead and I simply have no interest in trying to find new ones.

Over the past 4 years many issues have developed at ExploreNorth and I’m very busy repairing those now, including hundreds of links to my old blog URL, and articles I wrote for Destination BC that are now gone.

Over the past week or so I’ve also completely rebuilt my mile-by-mile photo gallery of the Alaska Highway, which now has 159 very large photos. Although the main purpose is to show people what to expect on the drive, many photos show how the Alaska Highway got the reputation it has, with construction scenes, re-routed sections such as Trutch Mountain and Adsett Creek, old lodges, etc., shot in all seasons over the 33 years since I started driving the road commercially. It begins at https://www.explorenorth.com/library/roads/alcanphotos.html.
