On the road – Seward

Today was the day that my folks boarded the Celebrity Millennium for their cruise to Vancouver. It rained, of course, but the drive down the Seward Highway, with a stop at Portage Glacier, was beautiful anyway. Back in Anchorage, I had a very nice evening with Doc & Monika (and home-cooked reindeer-sausage spaghetti – yuuum!), and got some more shopping done at JC Penney’s. I’m at the Anchorage Hotel again now, anxious to hop on an Alaska Airlines flight early tomorrow for the first leg of the trip home.

I just got an email that Angela, who had pneumonia by the time we reached Fairbanks, has now had a finger broken on the ship (Adrienne closed a door on it)! I hope I can bring some warmth and sunshine down to them when I take Monty and Kayla to meet them while they’re in Skagway – they deserve at least some more sunshine 🙂
